About Us

Founded in 1981, Leicester Grammar School is one of the UK's top-performing co-educational HMC independent schools for pupils aged 11-18. The school has gone from strength to strength and is now based in Great Glen, South Leicestershire. The purpose-built 75-acre campus boasting state-of-the-art facilities was opened in 2008 by Queen Elizabeth II. 

LGS pupils consistently gain excellent examination results at GCSE and A Level as well as enjoying wide-ranging co-curricular activities in a nurturing and caring environment. LGS fees are extremely competitive and we offer a range of scholarships and bursaries.
