Regional Final of the UKMT Team Maths Challenge 2025

Yesterday, our Maths Department had the pleasure of hosting the Regional Final of the UK Mathematics Trust Team Maths Challenge 2025.

A total of 18 schools—a mix of state and independent—took part, with each school fielding a team of four pupils (two from Year 8 and two from Year 9). Competitors tackled a variety of challenging mathematical puzzles, including a crossnumber and a fast-paced mathematical relay, testing their problem-solving skills and teamwork under pressure.

Congratulations to Trent College, who took the top spot! Solihull School secured second place, narrowly edging out our own team by just one point—an incredibly close contest!

A huge thank you to all the schools who participated and to our Maths Department for hosting such a fantastic event. Well done to all the competitors for their hard work, enthusiasm, and mathematical brilliance!
