• Deadline for receipt of applications - 4pm on Monday 2 December 2024
• Deadline for receipt of scholarship and bursary applications - 
• Entrance examinations - Morning of Tuesday 7 January 2025
• Bursary and scholarship assessments -  exact dates to be confirmed January 2025
• Parents informed of decisions - by the end of January 2025
• Deadline for acceptance of places - exact date to be confirmed in early March 2025

Please note that candidates may not resit an entrance examination/assessment within the same academic year and may only make one re-application for entry within each phase prior to Sixth Form (Kindergarten - Year 2; Years 3 - 6; Years 7 - 10).

Sixth Form 2025

We welcome applications from academically engaged pupils who want to play an active part in the Sixth Form life of Leicester Grammar School. Entry to the Sixth Form is by interview, offers of a place being conditional upon the GCSE grades gained. Applicants who can demonstrate the following attributes have the best chance of being offered a place:

• A good academic track record, with at least three GCSEs at grade 7 and three GCSEs at grade 6.
• A genuine interest in their proposed A-level subjects and a clear rationale for their choices.
• A track record of engaging positively in activities beyond study. For example: music, drama, sport, Duke of Edinburgh, Scouts, NCS or part-time work.
